About Foolworks
Foolworks is a game studio with a passion for open worlds and RPGs, but we are not bound to one genre. The name reflects a simple truth: making games starts with a bit of madness. Our aim is to create experiences people return to, whether the pull is story, progression, or the social side of play.
Staying small keeps decisions fast and taste consistent, so we can focus on a strong core loop and clear mood.
Values
Connection
Players should feel attached to their journey. We design worlds that invite one more run.
Progress you can feel
Growth must be meaningful and readable, not busywork.
Story with impact
Atmosphere and context make the loop resonate. We keep the interface quiet so the world can speak.
Respect for time
Focused, repeatable loops tuned for mobile first, scaling to other platforms when it makes sense.
Team and approach
We iterate quickly, test early, and keep what strengthens clarity and mood. Being small lets us move from prototype to polish without losing the core. Collaboration with external specialists happens when it raises the bar, not to add noise.
Tech and platforms
We develop with Unity for our mobile titles and also work with Unreal Engine. Our strategy is to reach as many players as possible, starting with mobile where it makes sense. PC is considered for the right projects later, and console is not excluded though it requires more lift.
Business philosophy
We do not believe in pay-to-win. For mobile, we are evaluating free downloads with ads or optional purchases. The exact approach is under review; details will be announced through official channels when finalized.
Communication
Official communication appears first on our website and is echoed on our socials. We share progress updates, behind-the-scenes notes, and calls for feedback there.
